December 2023 Artist of the Month
Jennifer Boyer uses macro photography and dyed ice to create abstract works of art. She freezes the ice then dyes it to create magical worlds of cracks, bubbles, and fissures. Of her work, Jennifer says “look closely: you can see an entire teeming universe in the bubbles, cracks, and fissures that appear in ice.” She loves to hear what people find in her photos, whether it be a face or an angiogram.
Frederick Artists Night – December 2, 3-7pm
ART EXHIBIT & RECEPTION
One night only! Come see this local art exhibit at Cowork Frederick (122 E Patrick St, Frederick, MD 21701).
All work is for sale. All sale proceeds go to the artist.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Jennifer has always enjoyed making things, but she began to focus on stretching her artistic muscles as a form of therapy in her mid-30s. She takes to hear the American Visionary Art Museum’s description of outsider art “..art produced by self-taught individuals, usually without formal training, whose works arise from an innate personal vision that revels foremost in the creative act itself.”
